Raw Tropical Living and T-Shirt Activism

I’m very pleased to announce that Raw Tropical Living is building a new business based on T-Shirt activism and I invite you to take a look at the apparel that we have so far.  My hope is to develop this into an overall lifestyle brand but plan to keep the main focus on activism.

I wrestled for a long time with exactly how I saw Raw Tropical Living evolving.  I didn’t want to be a coach, wasn’t really motivated to write a book or come up with yet another program to tell people how to eat fruits and vegetables.  I began thinking about the t-shirt business sometime back, and when I started learning about POD (print on demand) and drop shipping, it didn’t sound like such a daunting task!

As you would imagine, there are a lot of vegan based designs.  And there will be more to come!  But I also want to bring awareness to environmental issues and social activism.  In other words, I want to feel good about what I’m doing and not simply look at it as a way to make money!  Although I do think it will become quite a lucrative venture over time.

If the business evolves as I hope, my desire is to create a product for a cause that I am passionate about and donate the entire proceeds to a worthwhile organization where I can see where the money is going and what it’s doing.  The subject I would like to address is hunger.  More to come on this down the road!

Below are some of our current designs.  I should mention that  all designs come on shirts and products in a variety of colors and styles, for both men and women.  I still have a lot to learn!  Both about the t-shirt business in general and the particulars of running the store through the format I’ve chosen.  So be patient with me!   As you can see from some of the photos, I like to wear and represent my own product.  I have already found that the shirts can be a real conversation starter!

If you buy one of our shirts I would really appreciate it if you would be so kind as to send me a photo of you wearing it!  Let me remind you that we have women’s shirts and other styles as well.  Click on any of the shirts to go directly to where you can buy!

Thanks for taking the time to check out our shirts!  This is only the beginning!  I’ll be meeting with a swimwear designer while I’m in Costa Rica and I also envision having cool yoga wear and mats in the not too distant future.  I’m bringing a lot of swag to the Woodstock Fruit Festival in August.  So if you see me there you might just talk me out of a shirt!
